Coming this Spring: Dr. Broudy will be presenting, Understanding Young Children through the Powerful Lens of Attachment Theory, Building Resilience Conference.
Secure relationships between child care educators and young children play a foundational role in the
development of children’s capacity to learn about their worlds and relate to their peers. However,
many early childhood educators and administrators do not receive training or guidance in cultivating
these relationships. This training will focus on introducing the fundamental concepts of attachment
theory, with an emphasis on applying these concepts in the classroom and home child care settings. In
particular, participants will learn how to recognize and attend to the different kinds of attachment
needs of young children. There will also be an emphasis on helping participants develop a practice of
self-reflection as an essential component of fostering secure relationships. This workshop leads into
an afternoon panel discussion
